“Lamb” will be there!

Hi, my name is “Lamb” and I’m the author of Affairs of the Heart, Vol. 1  published in November of 2016 and Affairs of the Heart, Vol. 2    published in January 2017.

Harlen “Lamb” Lambert  is participating in our book signing at the Fullerton Public Library Authors’ Day, October 27th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  Location: 353 W. Commonwealth Ave., Fullerton, CA 92832. For more information click HERE.

In the early 1990’s I was out of the country, lonely and thousands of miles from home and family. I wrote 600 free verse poems during that time and on my return registered 21 volumes with the U.S. Copyright Office.Writing became my therapy during those two years. I wrote of experiences that left me both surprised, entangled in emotions, and painful to acknowledge. Volume 1 is my first book of poetry – the good, the painful, the confusing.

I’m nearing completion of my memoir, Badge of Color – Breaking the Silence, about becoming the first African American hired for the Santa Ana Police Department, Orange County, CA in December of 1966. Photos and excerpts are in work.  Visit my website click HERE for excerpts and information.

I live in California with my wife and five very loving and very spoiled dogs. In my free time I enjoy gardening (very capable green thumb!) and cooking up a variety of new recipes.

  1. Fritz,
Thank you for your kindness–and creativity! I’m splashing the event everywhere, beginning with our recent Southern Calilfornia Writer’s Club meeting in Huntington Beach, two creative writing classes, and FaceBook.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and other OLLIE members and am taking steps to visit a Thursday night class and my wife and I look forward to becoming members, too.
