I swat at gnats
busily buzzing by
noiseless
pestering
my aura
I bat
my middlin’
strike out
as one succumbs
another lazes by
endless parade
relentless
I swat at gnats
universally
insignificant
why me
who sics them on me
what attracts them
where do they emanate
when will they stop
diverting
subverting
my attention
from the elephant
in my closet
an enormity
I dare not face
this ominous
foreboding
ultimatum
inescapable
blackness
how do I endure
ignoring the elephant
in my closet
The aggravations that devastate us are insignificant compared to the universe. The only peace we can find in our soul is when we accept the truth of our nature, the beauty of God and the gift of life and salvation that is in Christ Jesus.
For who-so-ever calls on the Name of the Lord shall be Saved.
Romans 10:13 NKJV
