The Trolley of Life

The Trolley of Life

How fast it moves

How loud the clatter

Is

To my ears

Everyone going quickly

Knowing not where

My senses paining

My mind whirling

In confusion

And worse,

The never-ending

Bitter cold

The bitter

Cold

Out my window

I see

A tree

Its branches…

…dreaming of tomorrow which was going to be a better day….  Jack Stewart eloquently describes his life, his loves and his faith in a spiritual harmony of metaphors you will discover only by reading and rereading his poetry—share his prism.              Fritz von Coelln, OLLI-CSUF
