Dear Heavenly Father,

   Let us rejoice in this season of Christmas, for Heaven opened its womb and gave us Jesus, the gift of everlasting love.  As Mary held Jesus to her bosom, let us embrace him as our Light of Life.  His birth is the promise of joy, peace and love on earth.

   His love is in the Christmas cards we write to family and friends.  It is in the ornaments we hang onto our evergreen tree.  It is in the smile of good cheer we pass to others.

   These are Holy Moments of compassion and caring, the spiritual mirror of our souls.  As the world is aglow in joy, let this mirror reflect the hopes of our tomorrows, the peace among all peoples and humankind’s journey to union with God.

    You have given us life; You have given us Grace; You are the Father of our souls.

We rejoice on this day of Christ’s birth.  We sing a song of praise for the babe that was born in Bethlehem.
