Save our Planet–Go EV

My love-hate relationship with my EV bears thoughtful contemplation.

I guess range is the biggest problem—can’t go far on a tank full of electrons before you need to charge—and if you forgot to plug in the night before, you’re not going even that far. To be on the safe side, I always charge when there is a 100-mile charge remaining—you never know when you need your car in an emergency.

That and cost. My Mach E wasn’t cheap and it is full of natural resources, the value of which may never save the world from the big CC (Climate change or whatever is the current moniker). Never mind the aftermath—when the battery finally dies, its death is toxic.

Other than that, it is a pretty nifty, sporty, thrifty car. Thrifty as long as electricity is cheap and made from renewables—another issue for another time.
