Dear Heavenly Father,

    You have given us the gift of friendship.  In all our moments of life, be they sorrow or joy, our bonds of friendship lie always within us, just one memory away.  These bonds give us comfort and courage to take the next step.

    Your love shines in every friendship, in the eyes and ears of our friends, in the actions and deeds of our friends, in the tears and laughter of our friends.

    Such is the love of friends.  They are the rod we hold on to when we can’t walk.  They are the rush of wind in time of joy.  They are the bed in which we lie when our souls murmur “I love you” for the last time.

    Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of friends.

 Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice
